Geetha Ashok

With 23 years of experience as an educator, Geetha holds a Master’s degree in English and a Teaching Credential from California, USA. Her career spans three countries, allowing her to embrace diverse cultures and gain invaluable insights unique to international schools. Geetha proudly calls two cultures home—her roots are in India, while San Francisco, USA, is where she resides.

Over the past nine years at UIS, Geetha has served as a homeroom teacher in Primary and has held leadership positions as Grade Level Leader and Upper Primary Leader. She is now a valued member of the Primary Senior Leadership team.

Geetha’s passion lies in building a robust curriculum and empowering teachers to deliver exceptional education in the classroom. As an IB practitioner, she is committed to fostering student voice, choice, and ownership, encouraging inquiry that leads to deeper understanding and limitless knowledge. Her goal is to impact not only what students learn but also who they become.
