Scholarships will be awarded for one academic year and are open to students from Grade 6 to Grade 11 of the forthcoming academic year.

Academic Excellence

UIS facilitates growth on the individual level for students of all levels, but we recognise the importance of encouraging consistent high-achievers academically. Scholarships are awarded to students who excel in their studies and demonstrate high academic achievement.

Requirements:

– CAT 4 scores of at least 120 (stanine) or high attainment in a recent GL test or other. For current students, the latest Progress Test results will be used
– IB students should be predicted to achieve 42-45 points in the Diploma Program.
– Sustained success in internal assessments over a significant time (ideally at least two years)
– Attitude to learning and outcomes evident on termly school reports
– Recommendation form to be completed by current teachers

Performing Arts

Creative intelligence is a crucial cross-curricular aspect of your child’s education at UIS. We nurture and encourage students to express themselves through our art programmes while striving for excellence. Performing arts scholarships are awarded to students who excel in music, drama and dance.

– Formal external recognised examinations (e.g. ABRSM, LAMDA)
– Performance in school based or external events
– Representing country or city in competitions/concerts
– Attitude to learning and outcomes evident on termly school reports
– Recommendation form to be completed by current teachers

Arabic & Islamic

UIS operates with a profound respect for our country, culture, and people. Arabic and Islamic scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the Arabic language and a strong understanding of Islamic principles and values.

– High attainment in Arabic IBT exams
– Fluency in formal Arabic
– Memorizing four chapters of the Quran
– Attitude to learning and outcomes evident on termly school reports
– Recommendation form to be completed by current teachers

Sports

At UIS, we deeply value sporting achievement as an integral part of our academic community. With access to top-tier coaching, state-of-the-art facilities, and a supportive community, recipients of sports scholarships are empowered to reach their full potential academically and athletically, shaping them into leaders both on and off the field.

– Representing country or city in international competitions
– Selection in DAPSA/DASSA
– Demonstrate a high level of success in school or club sports
– Active participation in either internal or external events
– Attitude to learning and outcomes evident on termly school reports
– Recommendation form to be completed by current teachers

Application Process

All applicants must complete the relevant application form using the links above, using their school email ID, and include all supporting documents.

Applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee with final approval from the school Principal. The committee’s decision will be final. The school reserves the right to withdraw or change the terms of the scholarship at its own discretion at any time throughout the agreement.

Scholarships will be awarded for one academic year and applicable from September 2025.
